EVEN Member Story: How EVEN membership helped Elizabeth become a more intentional leader

How EVEN membership helped Elizabeth become a more intentional leader

Elizabeth came to EVEN with a clear sense of purpose.

An HSS professional at BHP in Western Australia, she works in an environment where good leadership in a non-negotiable. How a team holds together, how values show up under pressure, how a leader stays grounded through complexity. These are not peripheral questions in Elizabeth's world, these are must-haves.

She joined EVEN because she wanted to be deliberate about her own growth.

"I wanted to be more intentional about my own development, to strengthen how I showed up, and to invest in a coaching approach that prioritises reflection, connection, and real-world application."

How EVEN's Personal Board of Directors Changed How Elizabeth Sees Herself as a Leader

"EVEN creates a space where you're encouraged to show up fully, and think expansively."

At the centre of EVEN's model is the Personal Board of Directors: a small group of women drawn from different industries, meeting monthly with an EVEN coach. For Elizabeth, the coaching conversations went somewhere precise.

"EVEN has helped me separate perception from reality, challenge unhelpful internal narratives, and reconnect with my strengths and values as a leader."

For Elizabeth, that reconnection with her values and strengths as a leader was the work. Not starting from scratch, but returning to what she already knew about herself with more clarity and conviction. EVEN gave her the structured space to do it.

"I've found that I often learn just as much from listening to others as I do from being coached myself." Her Personal Board of Directors brought together women from different industries, all willing to show up honestly. "Learning alongside thoughtful, generous women who are willing to share openly, challenge respectfully, and support one another has been incredibly grounding."

What EVEN's Weekly Masterclasses Brought to Elizabeth's Development

Alongside the coaching, EVEN's weekly masterclasses gave Elizabeth's development a practical dimension. The range of topics stood out. "There genuinely is something there for everyone and many of the tools and insights can be taken back into work."

EVEN's masterclasses span leadership, career, and life, covering everything from executive presence and navigating complexity to career strategy and managing the demands that ambitious women carry both inside and outside work. Each masterclass is delivered by an EVEN Expert, a successful business woman, and designed to be applied, not just absorbed.

"Trust that investing in yourself is worthwhile, especially when you do it alongside people who genuinely want to see you succeed."

What Elizabeth Would Tell Women Considering EVEN Membership

Her advice is straightforward: get involved.

"You will be surprised how much you are able to help others and appreciative of their insights and wisdom in helping you."

She is direct about what shapes the quality of the experience. "The more you're willing to engage, and be open to challenge, the more meaningful the experience becomes."

And she makes a case for contributing, not just receiving. "Offering support, insights, or reflections for others often sharpens your own learning in unexpected ways."

"Growth doesn't always come from having answers. It often comes from sitting with better questions, and allowing your thinking to expand."

If Elizabeth's experience resonates, EVEN membership is designed for ambitious women at mid-career who are ready to invest in themselves.
